| I am now officially old. I know that I'm 31. That's no big deal, really. I thought 30 would be an odd age for me, but I embraced it, put on my happy face and threw myself a great party w/my closest friends in the D/FW area last February. Well, since I'm a year older, I thought that things would continue along the same path.
I am used to be treated as "older" or "mature" as "a respected adult" because I'm a teacher. My students call me Sir, Mister, or Mr. Taylor. That's no big deal. Any other youngerster in my life simply call me Uncle Joseph.... Today, that has all changed. Christy and I went to see a move in Frisco at Stonebriar Center. As we're in the lobby waiting for the previous showing to let out, a teenage boy of about 14-15 years old passes by, accidentally bumping me. He then proceeds to say, "Oh, excuse me, Sir. It was my fault." That was my wakeup call.

| So, I'm in North Richland Hills and we're hanging out at a bar called Bell Bottoms.... The current band is Metal Shop. They're a cover band that does all the great hair bands of the 80's and 90's. Fun times were had by all.
Heather, Lisa, and Brian were there to make it a very festive occassion. It was Brian's 22nd birthday, so we had to buy him a few shots and help him "feel" special for the night. (By the way, tried a new drink... Diet Coke w/Vodka, splash of lime... not too bad.)
I love Dallas and all my Dallas-Fort Worth area friends. I'll be so excited to move back here. I CAN NOT wait.
Good times, and good night! | | |
| I know it's been like a really long time since I posted, so I just wanted to say HI. I'm now w/ myspace.com and I've been very successful. As of 9 PM yesterday I had 4 friends. By midnight, I had 23. As of 5 PM today, I had 43 friends. As of 9:30 PM, I now have 46 w/some invites still pending. I think that's pretty awesome.
Catch you later!

| Hello! Hello! Hello! I certainly hope that all of you are doing well out there. I am. I've been a bit under the weather with a nasty cough, but my spirits are high. Mainly because I've just come back from a great weekend with old friends, I saw Bon Jovi in concert in Dallas, and I got new music this weekend.
Mad props go out to Christy H. in Dallas. You rock!!! She knew Jon & them... were coming to Dallas, got on the phone and ordered us up some tickets. Of course I paid my own way, but I had no idea they were on tour again. She let me crash at her place and she cooked up some of the best chicken in town. It was "Umm.. umm.. make you wanna slap yo mama" good. Can I get a witness?
My old friends: Ann, Amber, Aaron, Loren, Jon, & Joanna. Those are some "good people". I miss my Leesburg, TX, peoples. I hope to stay in touch and see them more often this year. I have pretty much vowed that 2006 will be the year that I get closer to those who are close to me, and cut the ties that will ultimately break me. There are times in your life where you just have to let some relationships fall by the wayside. You and those who were once so close to you.... grow apart. People change and times change. It just happens.
I got some much needed ONJ, via one of her greatest hits collections. I also got Eagles Live (the old one from 1980), Def Leppard's Vault cd, and the "Shall We Dance?" soundtrack. It's quite catchy. I also got the Chillout 06 collection last week. There we have it, something for every mood.
